Educational Background

With a solid educational foundation, Matlhogonolo Mogapi holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science from Wits (2009), a Higher Diploma in Accounting (CTA) from Wits (2010), and a Masters in Business Administration from GIBS (2020).

Decades of Professional Experience

Matlhogonolo Mogapi has over a decade of professional experience in the accounting industry. She started her journey as an articled clerk at one of the big four accounting firms and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012. During her time at the big four, she was responsible for overseeing audits in financial services and provided advisory services within the technical accounting department. After her articles, she worked at Absa Capital from 2013 to 2014 as an Accountant. Later, she joined Stanlib as a Pricing Manager, where she was responsible for regulatory and financial reporting of all the firm’s unit trusts.

As the Managing Director of Bagaka Group, Matlhogonolo is responsible for driving strategy and business development. She is passionate about impact investing and integrating sustainability into business models. Her technical expertise spans across several areas including:
